Patience
Most of us have gotten a chance to get a few rounds in by now, some good and a few maybe some not so good. As we move into summer, patience is the key to playing some of your best golf. The winner of this week's US Open will undoubtedly have to display vast amounts of patience.
How many times have you been out with your friends and want to crush the ball down the fairway only to find yourself fishing a ball out of the water or searching in the trees? We are all guilty of swinging outside of ourselves and losing patience. But stick to your game plan.
If you three-putt the first hole, most people jump to the conclusion that their putting is going to be in the tank all day. We must be patient. A lot of people feel as though they have to hit a good shot before they are feeling confident and comfortable on the course.
If you are patient, you know it is right around the corner and just a matter of time before you start striping your drives and stroking putts in the center of the cup. Be nice to yourselves!
